Happy Halloween Figure Fans! Turn your flashlights over to my newest figure One Piece Figuarts Zero Perhona! Horo horo horo:
I'm starting off with a full shot of the figure and the base shot since this is a pre-owned Perhona with a very mangled box. There is still something really entertaining to me about getting the mangled box with the figure since it still had it's toei sticker on it. But lets get back to the figure.
The base is, again, the standard for figuarts zero, with the really neat thriller bark jolly roger on it and name/quote/dead or alive. The 'h' in perhona's name threw me for a loop, but if I could get used to 'cobby' then this is fine by me.
Perhona is one of those characters that grew on me more and more over time, so once I saw her timeskip outfit I really wanted a figure of it. This figure delivers a wonderful rendition of this new design right down to the details, frills, and the accessories.
The turn in her posture and flow of her dress make her interesting from all angles. I really love the back shot with all the curls in her ever growing hair.
Let's move onto the reason this figure is extra special, her accessories. I've always liked her olive oil boots, and they look wonderful on this figure. You can also see the cute little curly umbrella handle of her ever present parasol.
My favorite part of this figure is the negative hollows. Possibly one of the cutest ghost designs I've seen. I really like the way they are represented in this figure because they have that semi-transparent look. They actually shoot out of Perhona's body, like in the manga/anime, and don't have separate stands. The weak point is these little clear stands are included to help support them, but because they aren't necessary they leave this hollow with what looks like a belly button. (Since he is on the side of the figure it's easy to ignore)
Perhona's parasol and new hat are really well sculpted, and are actually secured together so you can't risk losing either. Alas, this also means you can't remove them is you wished, but she is a static figure. She is complete with her Kumashi plush in arm. Really she is a nice addition to my every growing OP zeros, and if you enjoy her character or design or both, then hop on grabbing one for yourself right away!

Figuarts Zero: Zoro Battle Version
I was so happy at the announcement of this figure that I pre-ordered it right away. I just never had the chance to break it out, but here it is! The first of the Battle Version's of Figuarts Zero: Battle Ver. Zoro:
Oh and some box shots.....I also broke down and picked up battle version Mihawk to go with Zoro, since I don't have the previous release and this one is so much more active anyway. All in all the boxes are fine, they are different with the texture pattern and text. I do like them better for the fact that they are smaller than the older boxes and have a larger viewing window. pretty nice for people who see the boxes before buying the figures.
Zoro is fantastic. I can't say enough about the details and shading on this figure. Its a perfect representation of his Santoryu style.
His haramaki is wonderfully detailed and shaded as are his pants and shoes which are very important aspects to his attire.
His sword and his sheaths are wonderfully executed, and appear as they do in both the manga and the anime.
The arms and skin are well molded, especially his hands. I love the tiny details on the hilts/blades as well.
His alternate parts can give you the option of displaying him with his bandana on his arm and his face in full confidence mode. They included an extra hilt to show the Wado Ichimonji sheathed safely away.
His base is pretty much like the others, with the new distinction of having BATTLE VER. written on the bottom of the tag line. The details on this figure are fantastic, I love the strain in his arms.
Basically he is a must have for any One Piece Zoro fan. Luckily he is still available at most online stores. So get your Zoro today!

Figuarts Zero: Caymy and Sanji
It's time for another set of One Piece Figuarts Zero figures. I was really happy to get these in the mail. I still have a few other to go over as well, but I really wanted to start off with the ditzy but lovable duo of Caymy and Pappagu. And once again expanding my female figures for once! Only she is a mermaid...still counts.
The box is small, (only a little larger than chopper's box) so, where ever one may order her from, the shipping won't break the bank. Plus she has a light pastel theme that matches her spirit. It's a very appealing box.
She is very static, with no other options. The "gimmick" to this one is the removable sunglasses on Pappagu.
Again, everything is very standard as far as the Figuarts Zero line. Except her base doesn't have a logo, which is odd considering they could've used their clothing line logo on there. It's minor and not necessary, but it would've been nice.
Caymy has large pegs on her base, and Pappagu comes with a clear base that you can use to steady him onto the second base peg. Pappagu can squeeze in under her hands on the base and remain sturdy, so you don't really need it. It is terribly unsightly and was tossed aside instantly after this photo.
Caymy's body and pose has a lot of twists and turns to it, so it looks lovely from any direction.
Pappagu is really adorable in his shades, he is such a little rockstar.
I'm personally really drawn to the sculpt on her fins and scales. They shimmer and bend in a beautiful way.
Her expression is really sweet, the hair is spot on, and not to mention, her torso is super pleasing to the eye. If anything, the nose does look a little odd, like it's on the larger side. It's not a bother to me, but some people have mentioned that it ruined her face for them. Still adorable to me. Plus if you balance her right, she doesn't even need her base, just Pappagu.
Wait who that in the back?
I picked up new world Sanji on his re-ralease, and he is perfect with Caymy. I wasn't going to do a review of him, considering how many of them are out there, but since I have him here I may as well:
Sanji is FAN-TASTIC if you are the kind of collector who loves guys in nice suits. And this one has an amazing design and paint job. Great buttons, shiny shoes, and a nice tight pose make him a Sanji worth picking up. For anyone who is not into suited gentleman, he may seem a little bit disappointing. I love suits.
In conclusion, she is a really nice rendition of her character, as is Pappagu and even Sanji over here. I was lucky enough to wait out until she hit sale price on amiami for only 1000 yen. Not bad considering her original price was over 2000. She is small, and he face can look odd at certain angles, so I suggest taking a look at other peoples pictures before making your purchase. If she looks good to your eye, then she will make a wonderful little addition to your collection. I don't need to say much about Sanji, by this point you have him or you don't. He is a nice design though, and the heart parts are pretty fun to have with him.

Say Hello on My Figure Collection
Whew! Things have been busy, but my collecting tendencies have not declined in the meantime. I've had a snafu with my camera, and I'm currently waiting to get it back. For now I'll put up some preview shots of my September orders. Man.... I can't wait to properly photo shoot these, they are great even still in the boxes! Plus some more goodies are coming along the way still.
Before I go further I wanted to extend a welcome to anyone else who has a page on MyFigureCollection.net
I recently got on the site and found it to be a wonderful place for friending fellow collectors, seeing beautiful pictures, and getting news on upcoming figures.
Here is my profile: http://myfigurecollection.net/profile/Inknpaper

(Although my book, alternative figure and game reviews will be on here) I just thought I would share if anyone was interested : )
And for the rest of this entry I'm going to put up pictures of prototypes that makes me excited, or are just pain cute/funny. Feel free to guess who is who~ Enjoy:
